So Monday afternoon, the call came in that Regina and I were one of 100 hand picked Agents for Ford in the Fiesta Movement Contest. Our video which has over 5,000 was that impressive. I cannot believe it. Not to say that I a loser or anything but I have never been picked for anything like this or close to this in my life.
On April 19th and 20th we will be going to a meeting and training in NYC somewhere and we will be given our car. I am very excited. This is going to so much and will be great exposure for us (Regina, Stugots Puppet, Vegas, as we publish our Ford Fiesta adventures with the help of the Samechick.com team.
Thank you to everyone that watched and commented. Thank you to Mafialife Chris for helping to spread the word about the video to people.

Tomorrow at 7:00 AM my Dad goes in for triple bypass surgery. Given all of his other health issues, tomorrow’s operation will not be easy and recovery will be hard for him. My sister and I came down to Florida to be here for him and mom, just in case anything does go wrong and to reassure him that everything will be ok.
The relationship that he and I have now is that the relationship that we always had. Even a year or two ago, I was made to feel that I was the black sheep of the family and that I was the disappointment to him.
My Dad left us when I was 9 and my sister was 12. He and my mom just couldn’t make things work. After he left, I saw him a handful of times. He would come in and out of lives when he saw missed us and then realized he couldn’t bare the thought of being responsible for a family.
My Dad “came back for good” when I was graduating from High School in 1991. Five years later he was gone for good again. For “good” this time lasted until 1999 when my cousin Phillip passed away. After that he has been around and never left.
In 2003, my parents decided to get back together after about 20 years of being divorced. It was not an easy thing for me to accept. Mainly because I went from being the man of the family to being a son that was only needed when something was wrong. For a while him and I didn’t speak and wouldn’t be in the same room together.
This past year as he has gotten sicker, we talked about some stuff. He told me he was proud of me and of what kind of man I turned into even though he didn’t have anything to do with it. I told him that he had plenty to do with it. If he was around more I wouldn’t be the man that I am. I thanked him. Since then we never talk about the past. We have a great time when we are together. I turn to him if I need some advice. He calls to say hello and asks for grandchildren.
I hope that tomorrow goes well and I want to thank everyone for the “thoughts n prayers.”

Driving down to Florida this week, I seen A LOT of old billboards promoting consumers buying stuff made in America. In the last 20-30 years we have seen manufacturing jobs leave The US for foreign lands. The companies that have pulled out of the country left behind ghost towns that still have no recovered. Trenton NJ, Poughkeepsie NY are just two examples.
Is it really a surprise that the real estate market, car market, retail, etc. all suffer? How can we follow the lame ass battle cry of “spend America spend” if we do not work to earn money? When we did make stuff here, the country thrived. Tax dollars were generated. People can “spend America spend” and more important, people around the world will want our goods and services again.
The only way “Made in America” can mean something again is for companies to do their part and “Spend America Spend” on workers, factories and machinery. The American people are ready.
I am happy as can be that people are digging Stugots Puppet and his videos posted on the youtube but as soon as we got to my parents house my Dad was very disappointed that I didn’t bring “him” with us. My Dad has said it more then once how much he enjoys the videos and how funny “that little guy is”.
A few people have told me that the puppet vids are their favorite thing that we do. Not The Experience? No. Not my blogs? No. Not The Experience LIVE? No. Not ChickwingTV.com? God NO.
Well you puppet lovers, you will be happy to know that we are working on more videos with your beloved hero and they will be coming soon.
Firstly, thank you to everyone that watched and commented on the video. Yesterday around 3PM I got a phone call from the Ford Fiesta Movement people. They loved the video that we made and our entry made it to round 2! We have some forms to fill out for them. The winners will be notified on March 29th! So if we don’t hear from them then we didn’t make it. I am happy just to see the views getting closer to 2000 and the positive remarks people have left.
Thank you all. A special thank you to Mafialife Chris and SameChick for their help on this.
Sunday Morning at 6AM, Regina and I started a trek to Florida. At 9:30 we stopped for breakfast. I was hoping to get something with a local flare, we were in Maryland so I no idea what I was expecting. Yes, we got an Egg McMuffin from McDonald’s.
Lunch time, in South Carolina’s famous South of The Border area gave us the great local food I ever had except they didn’t, a cold in the middle chili dog. The servers looked beaten by life and the cashier had a moustache thicker than mine.
Dinner time around 6PM Sunday, we were in Savannha Georgia. Ok, I was ready for some fine cuisine from my Southern brothers and sisters and all we could fine was Ruby Tuesday’s.
Monday 7AM we got back on the road and around 10AM I was feeling hungry. All we could manage to find was cheese danishes at a gas station.
What is the world is wrong with us? Does every place that we eat HAVE to be a chain? Is local fair extinct? I really do not need to have every town we stop in look the same. Where is old time truck stop with a waitress that meets you with a smile and makes for some small talk about where we are headed? Why does McDonalds and Starbucks need to be EVERYWHERE?
